Four cottages overlook one of the fishing lakes. Also, the larger Barley Mow and the Steading are perfect for four people.
Eden Valley Breaks is a peaceful place. We keep it that way so you can enjoy your break.
The Fisherman’s Walk cottages - perfect for two people
Stay in one of the four Fisherman’s Walk cottages and wake up to dawn glistening on a calm lake. On a summer’s day, carp glide just beneath the surface. You can fish from one of the five pegs around the two lakes.
Inside each self-catering cottage, there is everything you would expect: a fully-equiped open plan kitchen diner, fresh bedding, shower, a welcome bottle of wine, a smart TV and superfast broadband. And a wonderful pub is just a five-minute drive (or forty-minute walk if you’ve had one too many!).

The Barley Mow and The Steading sleep four people
These are larger, older sandstone cottages that once formed part of the old farm. Both can accommodate a family. Each has its own separate kitchen and lounge, superfast broadband, plenty of parking and views over fields towards Croglin Water. The fishing lakes are less 50 yards away. For more than 25 years, carp and roach have thrived in the two fishing lakes. They are easy to spot though a little less easy to catch. This is fishing that takes perserverance and skill.

By Spring of 2025, there will be a small beat on Croglin Water for fly fishers who want a challenge. The first shoots of a cottage garden will allow guests to buy fresh fruit and veg and maybe a wild camping site and beehives will be established too…
